Larry Baer, the Giants CEO is a native of San Francisco who began working for the Giants in the early 1990s. During that time, he helped to form a new ownership group that ensured the Giants’ continued existence in San Francisco. He became the SF Giants CEO in 2012.
The Giants earned their second World Series title in three years during Larry Baer’s first year as the Giants CEO. In 2014, the club continued its winning trend by capturing its third World Series title.
Baer is the chairperson and CEO of Giants Development Services, as well as a UC Berkeley and Harvard Business School graduate. On the property across McCovey Cove from Oracle Park, this division of the organization is building a new mixed-use urban neighborhood. Once finished, this development project will create additional housing properties.
The development will also include over a million square feet of office space, and 250,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, and other amenities. Mission Rock will also provide 8 acres of parks and open space. In addition, Larry Baer organized the construction of Oracle Park.

The SF Giants CEO has sat on several MLB committees, such as the Strategic Planning Committee, which he chaired. He was also a member of the Business and Media Board, as well as the International Committee. Baer had also collected many awards and distinctions.
He is a trailblazer in professional athletics who has achieved many honors for his achievements. He got the Alumnus of the Year award from Harvard Business School in 2012. Also, he was awarded the Excellence in Achievement award by the University of California, Berkeley two years later.
