In addition to his legal practice, André Des Rochers has experience as a business consultant and consultant in entrepreneurship through business startups. He is also a community leader and an active participant in the Jacksonville community. In 1998, André was invited to be the keynote speaker at the United States Navy’s annual submarine program symposium.
His outstanding presentation as an entertainment lawyer included issues concerning the submarine force and his thoughts on how the submarine force should be structured and how it should serve U.S. national interests in the future. André Des Rochers´ presentation was well received by the audience, which included top officers from the submarine fleet.
Also, submarine-related business and government personnel, and even a former Secretary of Defense. In 1999, André Des Rochers was invited to be a speaker at the annual meeting of the North Atlantic Council. His topic was how the United States can best use space to improve its military capabilities.
In addition to his professional practice, the law expert professional André is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law in Gainesville and teaches Business Associations. He also serves as a Lecturer at Florida Coastal School of Law, where he has taught Business Associations, Federal Income Taxation and Corporate Finance. André Des Rochers was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist to the Florida Board of Bar Examiners in 2009.
Finally, the entertainment lawyer served as Vice Chair from 2010 to 2012. He was reappointed to the board in 2014. André received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 1989 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1996.
