Amy’s KitchenIn 1987, when Amy’s Kitchen was first launched, companies that specialized in vegetarian food were almost non-existent. It was a time when the whole idea of any kind of plant-based eating becoming an integral contributor to a viable solution to off-setting serious environmental issues wasn’t even thought of yet.

The Story Behind Amy’s Food

From the very start, when Andy and Rachel Berliner came up with the basic idea for Amy’s Kitchen, they didn’t actually have a lot of traditional business experience. What they did have was a really deep sense of personal values when it came to people and the planet. And, they were, in fact, vegetarians themselves based on how much they cared about all animals.

What’s in a Name?

Many people wonder where the name came from and it was actually born of a dream when they couldn’t come up with a good name for their new venture. Grandma had a dream that revealed that the company should be named after the newest member of the family, Rachel and Andy’s newborn daughter, Amy. So, Amy’s Kitchen was born.

Amy’s Kitchen Food Choices

Why is Amy’s a Favorite With Vegan Shoppers Nationwide?

Amy’s KitchenOne reason is that avid foodies who are looking for convenient, delectable, meat-free options to the lackluster pre-made offerings at most local supermarkets think of Amy’s Kitchen products as “manna from heaven”. Another reason is that the company is well-known for its admirable focus on renewable energy. The two make a great combination for both health-minded vegans and environmentally-conscious individuals.
