hTeal Communications recently named Glenn Lurie to its board of directors. Mr. Lurie was a longtime telecom executive and is currently CEO of the company called Lurie Group, LLC. In his career working in the telecommunications industry, he led global technology companies in various capacities, including promotions, marketing and customer service operations. He served as a consultant with Deloitte Consulting LLP, focusing on telecom and media services for over eight years before launching the business in 2015.
He serves as chairman emeritus of FDNY’s 2016 Top 100 Event “The Great Dallas BBQ & Trot”. He is also a member of the Board of Governors at John Jay College and serves on the advisory board for the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University. He is a 1994 graduate of John Jay College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 1997.

According to a recent study on the global telecom services market , the U.S. is expected to remain the “largest market in terms of revenue, despite a slow growth rate of 1.6%.”
