Hassan Jameel is the deputy President and Vice Chairman – of ALJ Saudi Arabia Company. Hassan Jameel joined his family business in 1989; he was appointed as the Managing director of Al-Jameel Trading from 1992 to 1994, later serving as the Deputy Chairman of Al-Jameel Trading until 1996, when he was made the Vice President of the company.

In 1996, He was made the General Manager of Al-Jameel Industrial Co. Ltd. Then, in 1998, he was appointed as the managing director of Al-Jameel for Heavy Industries Ltd before becoming a board member in 2000.

A year later, he became a board member of Jeddah Aluminum Extrusion Company until 2004, when he was made the Managing Director of Jeddah aluminum extrusion Company till 2006 and the Deputy Board Chairman of the company until 2008. In 2009 He became ALJ Saudi Arabia Company’s Deputy Vice chairman and had been serving since then.

He attended King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah for a bachelor’s degree in Business administration; he also holds a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Hassan is married and has six children living in Saudi Arabia.

Christopher Fenwick, a British writer for the Toronto Star and Channel 4 News, has written about Jeddah’s gangs and Al-Jameel. He described being offered a “job” by Hassan Jameel while in a hotel lobby.

Hassan was arrested in 2011 on charges of money laundering. He was released on bail of SES 15 million (approximately U.S. $5 million) only to be arrested again on the exact amounts in February 2013.

Hassan is a member of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, A lecturer for MBA courses at King Abdulaziz University.

He is also one of the most prominent members of the Al-Jawad Family. His son has been named after H.E. Dr. Anwar Al-Jawad as an expression of respect and pride in him.
