Early Life And Education
Bronia Buchanan was born in Norwich on 14th May 1973. She started attending the Central School of Dancing and Performing Arts at four years and later went to Norwich High School for Girls. She later joined Survey University, graduating with a BA in English Literature and dance. She also receives a postgraduate arts management diploma.
Bronia Buchanan Career
After finishing her education, she started her theatre career at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. She was on the company’s management team and contributed to making famous shows like ‘Riverdance.’
In 1997, Buchanan relocated to the Apollo Leisure/ Barry Claymang Concerts London-based production office. Her first position was as a production assistant, but she was later promoted to become Leslie Briscusse’s production assistant and the general manager’s assistant.
At this time of her career, she contributed to above 30 productions, including comedy shows, concerts, and musicals.
Bronia Buchanan founded BBS Management, her entertainment agency, in 2001. She said that the inspiration came from working with Leslie Bricusse. She has grown the organization into one of the most known, providing personal representation to numerous well-known performers, actors, and other creative talent working in film, television, and theatre.
Since she founded it, she has focused on offering a personalized care level and attention to detail for all her clients. This helps them meet unique career requirements and develop robust contacts to fulfill their artistic ambitions.
In 2006, Buchanan became an original partner at Arden Entertainment LLP alongside theatre producers Tristan Baker and Douglas McJannet. She was also the financier of the organization but exited as a partner in 2009.
She later used the experience she had gained from the firm to found End of Pier Productions, her production company. Under that company, she co-produced ‘Sherlock Holmes: The Best Kept Secret ‘ alongside Leeds Playhouse. She also produced ‘A Christmas Carol’ in London’s West End.
Buchanan married Terence William Drew, an occasional Wimpole Theatre producer, in 2011, and have one son born in 2014.
