André Des Rochers is a Haitian-American author, speaker, and entrepreneur. He became one of the youngest people to ever graduate from college at the age of fifteen after earning his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia University in New York City.

 

He is a writer for Project Syndicate, an organization with opinion pieces published in newspapers around the world including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Le Monde. André Des Rochers was one of the co-founders of the non-profit organization RiseUp, a youth empowerment initiative with projects including community service and educational workshops.

 

He is also featured at lectures, and special events hosted by major universities and corporations in the United States.In 2011 Des Rochers was named one of the “Top 40 Under 40” by Haiti’s leading newspaper Le Nouvelliste for his achievements in areas such as science, technology and social development. André Des Rochers´ company, Des Rochers Consulting, was established in 2012.

 

He received the Ace Award for contributions to a better world at the World Affairs Council gala dinner in February 2013. The award is given to a select group of individuals such as André Des Rochers, who are “making a positive difference in the world.”

 

Entertainment lawyer André Des Rochers is the recipient of the 2014 American Business Award for his work with his firm. The law firm Des Rochers Consulting in presenting the award, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said her visit to Haiti in 2010 “showed me the promise of Haiti’s future and what can be achieved when governments, citizens, and businesses work together.
